3D Anatomy of Upper Limb Joints

Articular anatomy of the upper limb features several critical joints that facilitate a wide range of movements. The glenohumeral joint of the shoulder provides significant mobility. The elbow joint, comprising the humeroulnar, humeroradial, and proximal radioulnar joints, enables flexion, extension, and rotational movements. The wrist joint, or radiocarpal joint, allows for complex hand positioning. Additionally, the interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints in the fingers support fine motor tasks. Each joint’s structure, ligaments, and biomechanics are presented in detailed 3D models.
