VOKA is proud to announce that our educational video, “Mechanism of Semaglutide: The Science Behind Fat Loss,” has been honored with a Bronze Award at the 47th annual Telly Awards. The project was recognized for its exceptional quality and scientific accuracy in the “General-Healthcare & Medical” category.

We value this appreciation, as it once again validates the growing importance of advanced medical animation. It inspires us to keep pushing the boundaries of innovation, delivering high-impact solutions for healthcare education, clinical workflows, and pharma and biotech advertising.

About our project

Our animation explores how semaglutide influences metabolic regulation and appetite control within the human body.

Moving through a microscopic biological environment, the video visualizes the interaction between the brain, hormonal signaling, and neural pathways involved in hunger, cravings, and energy balance.

This short film follows how a GLP-1 receptor agonist works through the brain-gut connection to regulate appetite and metabolism. It shows how the treatment affects several key signaling pathways in the hypothalamus:

  • POMC/CART neurons – activating signals associated with fullness and satiety.

  • NPY/AgRP neurons – reducing hunger-related signals and helping decrease cravings.

  • The vagus nerve – interacting with the digestive system to slow gastric emptying and extend the feeling of fullness.

Whether you are a medical professional seeking a high-quality visual knowledge refreshment or a non-professional observer eager to understand how modern metabolic treatments function at a cellular level, this video translates intricate science into a captivating visual narrative.

The scientific accuracy of the animation is ensured by our in-house medical team. Our experts guide every project from the initial storyboard to the final render, ensuring every clinical nuance is perfectly captured and visualized.
